Primal Scream in Strasbourg, France. 7 Avril 2000


the crowd SUCKED. everything they say about the French is true. these assholes just stood
 absolutely still the entire concert (how can you NOT move to XTRMNTR????) and hardly 
clapped between songs. so this pissed off Bobby Gillespie to no end. he was glaring at 
the crowd the entire time, saying things like "oh, you're the BEST audience I've EVER 
seen..." in icy tones, and singing about three full songs with his back to the audience. 
so it was kind of awkward for three of us in the front (me, my friend, and a British 
ex-pat) who actually were dancing and singing along, since the band were so hostile. 
Nonetheless, we still saw three gods on stage at once, and ended up with a setlist 
(which I've left in my room, d'oh!) as well as a sheet full of ad-lib words for Bobby 
for the middle of Pills (before the "sick fuck" bit).
