Tahiti 80 "Extra Pieces EP"

This is a perfect companion to the album. In the same sentiment, but equally inticing. The new tracks are incredibly catchy and touching, and the reworks of the "Puzzle" are so different you understand why they had to be released again.

Tahiti 80 "Puzzle"

I suddenly love the French! This cd is lovely, upbeat indie with lots of keyboards and Xavier's wonderful vocals. I love 'Heartbeat', 'ISAAC', and 'Hey Joe'.

Teachers 2 OST (UK promo)

I've never actually seen the show (I hear it's good), but I enjoyed the soundtrack - stuff from Electric Soft Parade, Apples In Stereo, Fonda 500, and Mercury Rev.

Tetra Splendour "Mr Bishi" (UK import)

Though the haze of mediocre production I can hear a number one band. Particularly in one very fuzzy line in the title track, which is brilliant enough to base entire albums and Eastern religions on.

Tetra Splendour "Pollenfever" (UK import)

I think their singles are getting more and more disappointing, and are starting to overshadow the stellar gig in my memory now, which is a shame. Like this single.

Tetra Splendour "Splendid Animation" (UK promo)

I still don't feel like they've ever quite lived up to their live performance, but I think this full album release should be enough to get them some good exposure. And I still feel like they're "my discovery". awww.

Tetra Splendour "de-rail" (UK import)

I saw them open for Haven, and as enjoyable as this single is, it just doesn't show how truly great their live show is. I haven't given up, however -- instead I've ordered another single!

Thee Swallows "A History of Sport Fishing" (UK promo)

A bit precious, but also a bit Belle & Sebastian, which is good. Not enough to leave much of an impression apart from "Brain sez good".

They Might Be Giants "Flood"

This is an absolutely infectious cd!! I've had people listen to it once, and go out and buy it the next day. Full of really stupid, catchy songs about nothing, this is incredible!

Thinking Machines (promo)

I am completely confused with the great bands coming out of Perry County these days. First Capitol Air, and now these guys! Space rock never had it so good. It's like what Mogwai would sound like if they had listened to melodic indie in their formative years.

This is Fort Apache

Picked up a well-loved copy from the station, it's a good alterna-rock mix, and it gives me another copy of Radiohead's "Anyone Can Play Guitar". yes, Thom, I wanna be Jim Morrison.

Tiga "DJ Kicks" (French/Portugese import)

(weird. The booklet says "Made in France", and the cd says "Made in Portugal". And it's not like I bought it off the back of a truck, not unless Fnac counts, anyway.) Aaaah, Tiga. How I love thee, let me count the ways -- One, for bringing the relevancy back into 'Sunglasses at Night'. Two, for your fucking fantastic cover of 'Hot in Herre' (yes, that 'Hot in Herre'!). Three, for being a cruelly irrestible cutting figure. Four, for your night of DJing perfection at Nag Nag Nag in January 2003. And Five, for this perfect soundtrack for pre- and post-club activities.

Tin Star "dirtybird"

Wow. This cd *oozes* cool. It's as if Primal Scream and Gus Gus had a single night of unbridled passion in the desert outskirts of Marrakesh. Or something like that.

Tok Tok vs Soffy O "Tok Tok vs Soffy O" (German import)

I had a bit of a delayed reaction on this one. I'd heard it a few times in the office, but suddenly when 'Day of Mine (Ludicrous Idiots)' came out I realised I loved it. Since then, I've played the album more times that anything else of recemt release, apart maybe from the Gold Chains album. Oh yes, the one and only, Miss Soffy O.

Tool "Ænima"

An intelligent extension of Undertow! I'm in love with Maynard... I wish every band could put out albums like this. I can easily say that every track on here is amazing. It's so cerebral that you listen to it like you watch tv. And *digest* it.

It's nutritious.

Tool "Forty Six & 2" (promo)

weee! Go this from the station, too! They keep rejecting them, and I'll just keep picking them up! At once, this was my favourite song on Ænima...

Tool "H." (promo)

I'm so OGT. Got me the one track promo with the radio edit of H. (they cut out the best part of the song!)

Tool "Lateralus"

As I told the guy at the store, it's a religious experience when a new Tool album comes out. I love the quiet, simmering beauty and darkness and the waves of acknowledgment you go through with a new Tool album to discover. I'm only partway through the process, and already I'm hard-pressed to pick favorites. (of course)

Tool "Opiate"

HAD to get the original. And it was worth it, even if it is only 6 1/2 songs. Early picks: Hush and Opiate... (only that few because of the small no. of songs)

Tool "Salival" (lmtd ed box set)

It took me forever to get this set with the DVD and the live cd, but it was worth it. The artwork and packaging is just fantastic, and the live material is incredible -- completely different interpretations of the songs. My favorites on here are the new version of 'Pushit', 'You Lied', 'Merkaba', and, *finally!* 'No Quarter'. Other box set makers, take note.

Tool "Undertow"

Maynard has the most incredible voice, and combined with the throbbing metal, this cd is irresistable. I waited awhile to get it, but I'm glad I have it now. "Sober" would definately be in my top ten fav. songs of all time, but the rest of the album is addictive.

Trainspotting Soundtrack

I already knew all these songs, it was just a matter of getting the hard-copy of the cd. How can you go wrong with a movie this good?

Travis "Driftwood" (UK Import)

I love their cover of 'Be My Baby', it just brings back (strangely fond) memories of Dirty Dancing. And the artwork for these singles is great...

Travis "Good Feeling"

Had the good fortune to pick this up used. Best $6 I've spent in a long time. The kind of songs that you instantly like the first time you hear them. And with moral guideance like "Make sure that she's old enough before you blow your mind"

in U16 Girls (as in "under 16"), how can you go wrong? A: you can't.

Travis "The Man Who" (UK Import)

I've wanted it for ages, but I finally got a good deal on the UK import (since it prolly won't get a US release). I still don't know how they did it -- it's better than the 1st album, while simultaneously being a 180 degree turn stylisistically. I can't get 'Turn' or 'Driftwood' out of my head.

Travis "Turn" cd2 (UK Import)

Yes, this has the famous Britney Spears 'Baby One More Time' cover. Absolutely brilliant. And the title track is the best song on "The Man Who", too.

Travis "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?" (UK Import)

I really needed my own copy of 'Village Man', the rebuttal to their earlier song 'All I Want to Do Is Rock'.

Trembling Blue Stars "Ghost of An Unkissed Kiss EP" (UK promo)

I've heard these guys praised in a few mailing lists, and I got the opportunity with this to hear what they're made of. And it must be marshmallowy pudding, because it's good and sticks with you for the rest of the day. And yes, I do apologise for that analogy.

Turin Brakes "The Optimist LP"

Grouped under the moniker of "quietcore", they are both quiet, and, errr, core? hrm. Anyway, it's good. Quiet, folkish indie, akin to Ben & Jason or Badly Drawn Boy.

Turin Brakes "Underdog (Save Me)" (UK import)

I bought this before I found the album so cheap, and I just wanted to be able to get a feel for their sound. Nice to get a live version to get 'Feeling Oblivion' as a b-side, too.

Twin Town soundtrack

It took me years to find this soundtrack (I found the poster before the cd!), and when I finally did in a long forgotten used rack, it had not artwork. blast ye! Even naked, it's one of the best soundtracks ever, blending old favorites from the 60s with new Welsh classics. Oh, and soundbites about drugs.

Type O Negative "Bloody Kisses"

An absolute must for every Vampire fan! Peter Steele has a great sonic-boom voice.

Type O Negative "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" (promo)

Nothing even slightly good or humourous here. *sigh* at least they used to be spooky...
