X-Ray "CD #1" (UK Import)

This cd accompanied the first ever paid issue of X-Ray magazine (produced in association with Xfm) and was a bit of a disappointment in comparison to the glowing fantasticness of the mag (which is a bright shining light of intelligent journalism, integrity, and *gasp* good bands, and it pisses all over the NME). On here are the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Playgroup, Non Phixion, Aqualung, and The Flaming Lips covering Kylie.

X-Ray "CD#02" (UK import)

I can't seem to win. The first issue of X-Ray magazine was great, but the cd was lacking. The second issue was disappointing (The Coral being on the cover being the first offence), but the cd's better. This one features tracks from Interpol, Radio 4, Joy Zipper, and Folk Implosion, but unfortunately are either a) easily available on the album, or b) live versions of readily available songs. I hope as X-Ray broadens its circulation, they can afford to get some rarer or newer tracks, too.

XFM "It's a Cool, Cool Christmas" (UK Import)

This is the best Christmas album ever (with the possible exception of Low's "Christmas"). It has all unreleased tracks from Belle & Sebastian, Calexio, Snow Patrol, Grandaddy, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, eels, and The Webb Brothers. And best yet, all the proceeds went to charity.

XTC "The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead"

I really liked the artwork and so I grabbed this from the station and had a very pleasant surprise when I listened to it.
